Cow Dispersal in Bangladesh

My tea-stall is the only source of income for my family. I came to know Thandu, a Community Health Educator from Care Channels. He visits me frequently and one day he asked me whether I was interested to have a cow for additional income. I received the cow on 5 May 2017.

My wife is an expert when it comes to taking good care of cows because we had cows before. The cow I got from Care Channels is growing very well and we are hoping that we will get good profit from selling it. Next time, I hope to have one more cow from Care Channels.

This is a very good project to eliminate poverty. I am very thankful to Care Channels and I would like to express my gratitude to all the generous donors who provide funds for this project.

By leveraging on technology, Care Channels is able to better manage the animals that are dispersed. Each animal is tagged with a Near Field Communication (NFC) chip which can be read using an Android phone. Relevant data for each animal is entered using a customised App. This App also allows data to be synced to cloud servers. Capturing such data helps Care Channels make better decisions and enhances accountability.
