HEALTH PROGRAMS

Health is life’s basic need without which there is little, or no possibility for work, education or play. Health problems are more acute for the poor, living in crowded slum areas, often with no potable water, or where nutrition is poor or absent, because of poverty and lack of knowledge.

Recent Cases:

-Nineteen-year old Susan's self esteem has grown since receiving an artificial eye in place of her blind sunken eye.
-John Mark, a 8-year old boy, had his cleft lip and palate repaired. His smile brings special joy to him and everyone in his family. (back to top)

:. Medical- Dental Visits

CCI regularly sends a team of doctors, dentists and volunteers to a needy area to provide medical and dental care. In a single day, the team sees between 200-400 patients. Medicines are provided free, and the contacts made are followed up by local workers. Many lives have been transformed through this program. (back to top)

  :.  Community Health Education (CHE)

The holistic program cares for the whole person’s needs and it seeks to mobilize the whole community to take responsibility to improve their living conditions. Fundamental and sustainable changes begin to take place in their health, environment, nutrition, and even in family and inter-personal relationships.  This program has brought about great transformational impact upon the whole community.
